Experience
Dr. Guerra-Watson has been in private practice in the DFW area since 2003. She also served as staff psychologist at the University of Texas at Dallas and at Galaxy Counseling
Center in Garland, TX. She has conducted individual, family, couples, play, and group therapy as well as psychological evaluations.
She is the former director of training for the UTD Counseling Center and for the APA accredited Dallas Metropolitan Consortium
in Psychology pre-doctoral psychology internship.
Her counseling expertise includes work with trauma and abuse survivors, treatment of anxiety and panic, depression, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, and substance abuse recovery. She has experience in psychological and career testing including personality,
ADHD, learning disability, career, and cognitive ability testing. She has presented workshops on topics including the Myers-Briggs,
study and time management skills, concentration and attention, and stress management. She conducted and/or presented research in the areas of co-parenting, career development in
college students, childhood obesity, and attachment in children and adults. She is experienced in the supervision and training
of graduate psychology students.
